Pickup is an option for $75 per person. If you book with pickup, we will contact you about the pickup time.
What is the STINAPA nature fee?
Everyone on the tour needs a STINAPA nature tag, which isn't included in the price. Children under 13, residents of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten, and cruise passengers are exempt. You can buy the nature fee here: https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/
Is the tourist tax the same as the STINAPA fee?
No, they are not the same thing. The STINAPA nature fee is required by law. You can buy it here: https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/
Can cruise passengers join?
Yes. We pick you up at the cruise terminal and bring you back in time for the ship. You need to be off the ship by 8:30 am local time. We leave the terminal at 8:40 am, because we have to drive to the start to make it on time.
Is the tour suitable for children, and for people who don't swim well?
Yes, from age 3 up. Snorkeling isn't mandatory, and we also have life jackets. Children under 5 bring their own flotation device. The kayaks are stable, sit-on-top and tandem. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
What do I need to bring?
Swimwear, a towel and a hat. Snorkel gear, a dry bag and drinks are included. Bug spray and sunscreen can't be brought on the tour, so apply them beforehand.
What will we see?
The mangrove tunnels, four mangrove species, fish, birds, and often sea turtles. A guide explains the ecosystem along the way. Wildlife isn't guaranteed.
What if the weather is bad?
Light rain doesn't stop the tour. Storms and lightning do, and we contact you if that happens.
Is the road to the meeting point rough?
Yes, it is a dirt road. If you take your time, every car can make it. Flamingos and donkeys along the way make it an adventure in itself. If you aren't sure, WhatsApp us.
